Get behind me Satan!!

"But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” Matthew 16:23 NKJV

Let's look into this verse deeply to do so we need to look at the two versus before this one.

Read carefully.

Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection

"From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day." Matthew 16:21 NKJV

"Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” Matthew 16:22 NKJV

Now, it's clear that Peter was not ready to hear about this events, therefore reacted in what he thought was a protective manner. He didn't want Jesus to believe what Jesus already knew. Jesus knew His purpose, and He was not going to allow anyone to deter Him or speak against His ordained purpose. He was listening to His Father in Heaven.

We have to be careful to not allow our circle of friends, coworkers, intimate love relationships, and family to influence what we know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has told us to do, to believe, to walk away from, to embrace ...etc. This is different for all of us because we as children of Almighty God and when we start abiding with Him and develop our own personal relationship with our Heavenly Father, He meets us where we are at. Therefore, our relationship with Him, our Holy Spirit guided journey and purpose will be different.

We live in a fallen world in which evil has collaborated with people in our life (past, present or future) that we may not be aware are our enemies due to jealousy, envy, need to control, resentment..etc. They have been deceived and have traded their souls for wicked manipulation abilities such as black magic, witchcraft, emotional manipulation and illusionary tactics. All rooted by malicious intent to block, bring the children of Almighty God down anyway possible which will in turn keep us from following our Holy Spirit guided purpose as we walk closely with Jesus Christ. We want the best for everyone: peace, blessings, harmony, love, forgiveness, progress, victory. prosperity, great health.

Unfortunately, Satan, these enemies and people attached to them while working with dark energies, angry and revenge driven negative people, attention addicted people to distract us from healing spiritual knowledge from God, that cheat, lie and steal. Seeking to destroy and have no remorse but are selfish.

The devil set them up in the worse way by taking advantage of their codependent tendencies, greed, jealousy and low self esteem due to childhood trauma, betrayal, and abuse.

It is vital for us as Christians to say out loud with the Power and Authority Jesus Christ has bestowed on us, I REBUKE, CANCEL AND DESTROY EVERY ASSIGNMENT & ATTACK OF THE DEVIL OR ANY ENEMY AND CANCEL EVERY CURSE OR NEGATIVE WORD EVER SPOKEN OVER MY LIFE IN THE POWERFUL NAME OF MY LORD AND SAVIOR

JESUS CHRIST!! AMEN!!
