Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) advises, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." It encourages relying on God's wisdom over personal, limited logic to find peace, direction, and surrender control.

During this time, remember this verse.

Matthew 24:6-8 (KJV) states: "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." These verses describe signs of the end times, characterizing wars, disasters, and turmoil as the "beginning of birth pains" or "sorrows".

Key Takeaways from Matthew 24:6-8:

  • Wars and Rumors of Wars: Jesus warns that geopolitical conflicts will occur, but these alone do not signal the immediate end.

  • Do Not Be Alarmed: Despite the chaos, believers are told not to be troubled or frightened, as these events are part of an ordained, unfolding plan.

  • Signs of the Times: The passage lists disasters, specifically famines, pestilences (or plagues), and earthquakes in various places.

  • "Beginning of Sorrows": These events are compared to labor pains (or birth pangs), suggesting they are the starting point of increasing trouble that will intensify before the end.

Our Heavenly Father loves us and nothing will happen in this world that will surprise Him.

Trust and Seek Him.
