"But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned." John 16:7-12

In the above scripture "the Advocate" is referring to God's Spirit. You see, when we repent of all our sins and invite Jesus Christ into our heart, mind, body, and soul as well as acknowledge Him as the son of God and make Him our Lord and Savior, all our sins are forgiven which cleans us with the precious blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit can come in and live in us.  

 

But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God." 1 Corinthians 2:9-12

​The Holy Spirit is within us that even when all we can do is shed tears because we can't ask questions or voice our pain to the Lord, He still hears us. His peace will engulf your heart, calm your mind, and soothe your soul which will allow you to sense His presence.

 

You will be surprised at how fast your questions and petitions, presented by prayer through Jesus Christ to our heavenly Father, will be answered in many ways you might not expect. Release all expectations and outcomes to Him. He knows best and if it does not get answered in the way you want, it is for your own redirection and His protection.
